-----THE STORY-----

The healers have infested a remote complex on Earth and turned it into a labyrinth. Previously rendered abandoned by the demon invasion, it has become a resting area for these foul creatures.

All you have to do is find your way through the dark to the exit, armed with only the pump action and your standard sidearm.
But if you decide these pests need to be exterminated- remember it's just them and you.


-----GAMEPLAY----- 

Simplistic mini-wad for Doom 2 I made in a week as a side project.
Designed to be played strategically, simple level design going for a survival horror feel.
May not be everyone's cup of tea. If you don't like hunting for keys and archviles in a dark maze, you will not have a good time. I totally understand that many people may find it tedious.

This is a challenge set of 5 levels called "Hunts" that take semi-inspiration from the map "Hunted", from the infamous wad Plutonia. However the player is in a more dire situation most of the time only having the pump shotgun. Each level is a labyrinth for both the player and the archies. Most of the time it is nearly pitch black, and you will have to find small amounts of ammo (make your shots count) littered throughout along with the keys necessary to access the exit switch. You'll want to keep on the move in some cases as to not get cornered- sometimes retreating further into the maze may be the best option.

It is strictly intended to be played pistol start although continuous play is doable with the amount of health placed. Vanilla playstyle (no mouselook, crouching or jumping) with software/original lighting was first intended, but I also found that playing with modern settings and creepy/atmospheric mods such as "Nightshift" by Dr.Cosmobyte fit nicely and didn't have any problems.

Cooperative multiplayer spawns are implemented but I haven't tested how it works. I added second player spawns to each map and more enemies that only appear in multiplayer.

Tested with prboom 2.5.0 and gzdoom 4.14.2

Should run with anything besides vanilla ports

Created in Ultimate Doom builder (Doom 2 Doom Format) to meet ALMOST vanilla standards. Vanilla ports will not run and older ports like prboom/boom will not show custom level titles. This is also my first time making custom versions of sprites and textures, as well as using whacked to modify the weapons a bit (this could've been accomplished without whacked I realize now).

There is no music in this wad by design but the different tracks are preserved if you would like to use a music mod. (I think the psx music fits a horror atmosphere nicely)
